Introduction
A talk by Dr. Katy Bray, Public Engagement Manager, Alzheimer`s Research UK, 
Dementia is one of the greatest medical challenges we face today and unless we act one in three people born today will develop dementia in their lifetime. However, it has been reported by the Lancet Commission on Dementia that up to 40% of cases could be prevented by eliminating twelve modifiable risk factors.  
Dr Bray will discuss the impact of dementia and the progress research is making towards life changing breakthroughs. She will cover our growing understanding of the causes of dementia, key risk factors and potential for new  treatments on the horizon
