Biography
Dr. Kangli Wang is currently a Professor at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST). She received her Ph.D. in Chemistry from Wuhan University in 2006 and subsequently served as a postdoctoral associate at Auburn University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from 2007 to 2012. She joined the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at HUST in 2013 as an Associate Professor and was promoted to Professor in 2017.
Her research focuses on electrochemical energy storage technologies for grid-scale applications, including liquid metal batteries, sodium-ion batteries, and aqueous batteries. She emphasizes fundamental and applied studies on electrode material design and interfacial engineering, battery aging mechanisms and multi-field coupling effects. In addition, she explores battery state sensing, system integration, and safety management to enhance the safety, efficiency, and reliability of large-scale energy storage systems.
