Biography
With over 20 years鈥� experience in analytical labs, mostly at NMSSC/NMSF at Swansea University, I set up Wyatt Analytical Ltd. in June 2021 to continue doing what I鈥檝e been doing for most of my career 鈥� helping scientists of various disciplines get the analytical data they need to progress their work. I offer a variety of services to cater for my clients鈥� needs.
Standard service level: I realise there are many pressures on your working life, but I can help lessen the load by project managing the acquisition of data and provide interpretation commentary for you. I have arrangements with multiple labs to help get you the best prices available and navigate around known instrument breakdowns to keep turnaround high. Mass spectrometry is a broad church, and nobody knows it all, so I have several colleagues to work with no matter what the project entails. If you already have data but don鈥檛 fully understand it, I can evaluate it and provide a summary report, assisting you to make the best decisions for project progression.
Premium service level: I have arrangements with multiple labs to visit and utilise their instrumentation, and so use my skills and expertise to personally acquire and interpret your data.
Instrumentation: If you have instrumentation not fully utilised, I can offer training to facilitate maximum productivity of local resources. Furthermore, if you are considering an instrument purchase, I am completely vendor neutral and can advise on the best instrumentation to suit your needs and I can advise on lab design requirements, so you can make the most of, and extend longevity of, your instrumentation.
Other analytical techniques: If mass spectrometry is too broad for anybody to be a complete expert, then the plethora of analytical techniques currently available is truly mind-blowing 鈥� I will not be able to do it all, but I鈥檒l likely know someone who can, no matter what 鈥渋t鈥� happens to be.
