Nanoengineering for biomaterials and medicine

Submissions now open

Deadline: 30 November 2026

This鈥痶hemed collection will spotlight鈥痶he latest research in鈥痭anoengineering, demonstrating its use to augment material properties (such as size, charge or functionalisation), driving advancements in medical applications and biomaterials functionality.

The collection welcomes submissions of primary research articles across all areas of鈥痭anoscience and nanotechnology focusing on鈥痭anobioengineering. Areas of interest include鈥痓ut鈥痑re鈥痭ot limited to:鈥

  • Functional bionanomaterials
  • Nanobioprinting materials and techniques
  • Biomanufacturing
  • Regenerative medicine
  • Immunoengineering
  • Biosensors
  • Nanobiotechnology
  • Nano-biointerface design

Submissions to the journal should contain chemistry in the context of a material and should fit within the scope of Nanoscale Advances. Please see the鈥痡ournal鈥檚 webpage鈥痜or more information on the scope, standards, and author guidelines. If you would like to contribute to this themed collection, you can submit your article directly via the . Please mention that this submission is a contribution to the "Nanoengineering for biomaterials and medicine" collection in the 鈥淭hemed issues鈥 section of the submission form and add a 鈥淣ote to the Editor鈥 that this is from the Open Call.
