About this prize
When Dr Duncan Bryant, Chair of the 番茄社区 Molecular Spectroscopy Group, died in 2005, the committee of the Group sought an appropriate way of marking their gratitude to him and their affection for him. The result was the Duncan Bryant Award for early career molecular spectroscopy researchers working or studying in the pharmaceutical sector.
The process to select the award winner has evolved over time with the aim of providing diverse ways of ensuring a worthy recipient. The inaugural presentation of the Duncan Bryant Award was made in May 2008 and has since been awarded on four subsequent occasions to date. A full list of winners is provided below.
The Award itself is a print of a unique picture commissioned by Duncan鈥檚 former employers, GlaxoSmithKline, representing different aspects of Duncan鈥檚 professional and personal life. The print will be supported by a certificate and a small cash amount.
The Award will continue to be awarded via a range of mechanisms.
