The two-day ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø Main Group Interest Group Annual Meeting and AGM will be held at the University of Edinburgh, on 8-9th April 2026.
The meeting will offer PhD students and postdoctoral researchers the opportunity to present their work in the form of research talks and/or posters.
There will be talks from this years Lappert Prize winner Prof. Simon Aldridge and our Final Year PhD Prize winner Samuel Thompson, alongside invited talks from Prof. Liam Ball, Dr. Marina Uzelac, Dr. Antoine Buchard, and Prof. Debbie Kays.
We are keen to invite oral and poster contributions from younger chemists. Several 20-minute lecture slots (including questions) will be available for: postgraduate students; post-docs; research fellows; and newly appointed academics. We will also have a poster session, and prizes will be awarded for the best student/post-doc talk and the best posters.
The registration fee for the event is £100 for academics and post-docs and £50 for students, payable by clicking following the link on the ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø events page for this meeting. Registration fee includes dinner at the Braid Hills Hotel, Edinburgh. Please see attached menu for food choices.
