We welcome you to the 17th Frank Warren (FW) Conference, to be held from 5 to 9 July 2026.
Held every three years, this established international meeting organized by the South African Chemical Institute (SACI) brings together researchers from academia and industry working across the broad spectrum of organic chemistry.
The main purpose of the Frank Warren Conference is to showcase organic chemistry and related topics. We have chosen the theme "Innovations for a Sustainable Future" under the umbrella of organic chemistry. As chemists, we have a responsibility to humankind to ensure there is a future for generations to come on planet Earth.
The conference will feature plenary and invited lectures by leading international scientists, complemented by contributed oral presentations, flash poster talks, and poster sessions. The scientific program will span contemporary developments in synthetic organic chemistry, medicinal and natural product chemistry, methodology and catalysis, materials-oriented molecular design, and emerging interdisciplinary directions. Particular emphasis will be placed on recent advances, innovative strategies, and the growing complexity of modern molecular science. In addition to showcasing cutting-edge research, the conference aims to strengthen international collaboration and foster connections between established investigators, early-career researchers, and students.
The Conference will be held in one of the most beautiful and unique parts of the country, the Kruger National Park, with accommodation booked at Skukuza, the main rest camp.
